Banking Regulation Standoff: TIME FOR INCUMBENTS TO GO HOME

Christopher Dodd states that an effort to reach bipartisan agreement on financial reform regulations has reached an impasse. He plans on moving forward with his own version of the bill.

Apparently Dodd and Richard Shelby are not playing well in the sandbox. Chris “Departing” Dodd stated, “While I still hope that we will ultimately have a consensus package in the Senate, it is time to move the process forward”.

Shelby stated there were a number of areas in which he was not open to compromise.

The Senate is a complete disgrace and Dodd and Shelby are pillars of our dysfunctional democracy. TARP was approved in October 2008 and 16 months later; these two buffoons remain at an impasse regarding financial reform. Guess what boys, it is not about you!

Your term expires in 2011 Mr. Shelby and for the sake of our grandchildren, you will not serve another 6 years. 31 years in D.C. is sufficient Shelby, your stay is no longer welcome.
