FDIC Shutters 90th bank of 2010 on Friday, July 9th

The FDIC took off 7/2/10 for the holiday weekend and shttered no banks for the big Independence Day holiday weekend. This past Friday, the FDIC shut down 4 banks. OK and NY each incurred one closing while MD had top honors this week with two bank closings.

The estimated total cost to the FDIC insurance fund this past week is roughly $159.9 million.
