Stock investors grew more bearish in the week ended Nov. 3, according to the American Association of Individual Investors' (AAII) weekly sentiment survey released Thursday.

Around 30% of investors polled were bearish on stocks for the short term, up from 22% a week earlier. Bullish sentiment, meanwhile, fell to 48% from 51% but still reflective of investors' vastly improved outlook since bullish sentiment hit 20% at the end of August, a 2010 low.

Also in the latest week, 22% of investors were neutral about the market's near-term direction, versus 27% a week earlier
