Mortgage Bankers Association maintain Homeowner Structured Defaults create a moral hazard...

John Courson, President of the Mortgage Bankers Association states the consequences are dire when homeowners walk away from their mortgage. He also notes the existence of a moral hazard when homeownesr simply walk away from their mortgages.

It appears Mr. Courson and the Mortgage Bankers Association are exempt from dire consequences and moral hazard when they walked away from their corporate headquarters building recently. They purchsing the property 3 years ago for $79 million. Clearly Mortgage Bankers do not have the same moral obligation nor responsibility as mere mortals who sign a promissory note.

Jon Stewart...President "CEO" Obama, the only CEO held accountable by CNBC

President "CEO" Obama, the only CEO
ever held accountable by CNBC

Recap via Huffington Post
Last night on "The Daily Show" Jon Stewart focused on President Obama's town hall meeting on CNBC, where questions centered around Wall St. and the economy. Among those asking the questions was a woman who Stewart identified as "Obama's Kryptonite."

After fielding questions from a jilted Wall St. executive and a young lawyer who can't afford to pay his student loans, Obama was hit hardest by a middle-class, African-American woman who frankly said, "I'm exhausted of defending you."

It turns out, the woman behind this reasonable critique is not just a middle-class wife and mother, but also a chief financial officer of a veteran's organization, a powerful combination that Stewart considers an "Obama zapping machine."

"A black, lady, financial analyst veteran?" Stewart said in disbelief. "We have found Obama's Kryptonite."

Then, in true 'Daily Show' fashion, Stewart used footage of Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign to show what Americans such as the fed-up woman at the rally were promised, and followed up with clips from the last two years where he defers or denies the ability to follow through with those same promises.

Jon Stewart Rally to Restore Sanity versus Stephen Colbert March To Keep Fear Alive

Rally to Restore Sanity
versus
March To Keep Fear Alive

Thanks to Huffington Post for the head's up.

Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert will march together on Washington. Or against each other in Washington.

Either way, expect plenty of Comedy Central fans to show up on October 30 when Stewart's "Rally To Restore Sanity" will meet Colbert's "March To Keep Fear Alive" in the nation's capital.

The duo have been hinting at a major announcement for several episodes in a mock response to Glenn Beck's own "Restoring Honor" rally that was held this year on the anniversary of a famous Martin Luther King speech at the same monument. There's no indication that the announced get-together is a joke, though. Both comedians are telling their audiences to book hotel rooms now (though for different reasons, as you'll see).

"It'll be like being in a chat room," Stewart explained. "But real."

Stewart punctuated his announcement on the earlier program with a homemade-looking banner reading, "Take It Down A Notch For America."

Colbert followed up with an announcement on his own show, and insisted that he would "notch it up a scotch."

Each man ventured into the other's studios for moments you'll just have to see for yourself ...

Go Get Them Jon Stewart: IRS to Regulate the Tax Preparation Industry

Jan. 4 (Bloomberg) -- The Internal Revenue Service said it will regulate the tax-preparation industry for the first time, requiring companies including H&R Block Inc. and Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. to register and pay a fee.

The plan, which IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman said will take several years to implement, will require paid tax preparers to pass a competency test and supply an identification number when they file clients’ returns. The rules are intended to stop fraudulent and untrained preparers from scamming the government and consumers, the IRS said.

“It’s vital that we ensure all preparers are ethical, that they provide good service and that they are qualified,” Shulman said in a conference call with reporters. “It adds up to a groundbreaking approach for our nation’s tax system.”

It’s vital that we ensure all preparers are ethical! One can not make this stuff up! Will this be a multiple choice question?

In order to qualify you as an approved tax preparer, we need to determine that you are an ethical individual. Please answer the following (select one that best describes you and take all the time you need as this assessment is not timed):

I AM ETHICAL
a. always when my mom is in the room
b. frequently when my mom is in the room
c. sometimes when my mom is in the room
d. when my mom is in the room until she turns her head
e. I request a lifeline and I would like to call my mom
