Armando Galarraga: Grandpa's idea of a classy guy! In the category of "life is not fair", Armando displays total class and his body language should be inspiration to children and grandchildren everywhere. No temper tantrum, no vulgarity just behavior becoming a gentleman. Life is not always fair and people make mistakes and thank you Armando as I would proudly let our grandkids wear your jersey.
Grandpa would be remiss to not also credit Jim Joyce (umpire) for his class act apology. We are experiencing a time when many assume no responsibility for their decisions and actions however it took a kids' game of baseball as a venue for two adults to display tremendous class. If the 54 year old umpire and 28 year old pitcher were father and son, I would pay for the "family pimping" at theThanksgiving table.
